What does this course look like?
This course is fully PRE-RECORDED and is comprised of video footage of me painting the orange still life painting from start to finish. This part of the class is a true golden opportunity! Every week for 4 weeks I will meet with the students of this class over zoom to answer questions, give critiques and provide guidance. These sessions will provide custom guidance tailored to your needs and will be an integral part of this class as there are bound to be questions and roadblocks that come up.
These zoom sessions are especially designed for you to bring your questions and any stumbling blocks that arise out of doing your own still life painting by following along with my video painting demonstration included in this class.
You might just do one painting through the entire 4 weeks - or you might do many! Either way, you will grow your painting skills a tremendous amount by getting personalized feedback and help.
LIVE Training Sessions are every Thrusday at 1PM PDT − Starting May 5th!
If you are unable to attend live, or can only attend part of the time - ALL of the training session are 100% recorded and available for you to watch so you don't have to worry about missing any of the Live training.
However this course is primarily made up of pre-recorded course material, so the live sessions are wonderful but also additional − so you don't have to feel like you're missing out if you can't ever attend live!

Learn from someone who has been where you are
I created this class because I have been where you are. So, let me tell you a little bit from my own painting journey. I started learning how to paint at university where received a good basis in painting but still felt a little lost and didn’t know how to grow and expand my skills. So, I moved abroad and became a student at a school that taught real painting skills that were grounded in old master painting techniques.
It was here that I came to really understand the language of painting and how to grow and expand my skills with the painting process. Even though I had already earned a degree in painting, sold paintings, and had several gallery exhibitions under my belt I treated myself as a complete beginner and started at the bottom - learning how to start and develop a painting. The experience was a revelation for me because for the first time I felt like I was understanding the painting process.
Through years of training in art school and endless hours of figuring out the painting process in my own studio I learned the approach and steps needed to not just create paintings but also to continually grow my painting skills. Though I had excellent teachers, it was not always an easy road. I had to figure out a lot on my own! I still vividly remember times of endless frustration where I was even brought to tears! Today I feel confident in painting whatever subject matter I choose, and am able to expand my skills because I understand the painting process.
Though I can’t guarantee that you won’t experience some frustration I can guarantee that ** I can save you years of learning time in this class** (and maybe also from tears!)! I am passionate about teaching the art of painting and above all want you to learn and grow in your painting skills so that you can paint anything you want too - no matter what skill level you are at.

Is this course live or pre-recorded?
- BOTH! During this special open enrollment period, you will also get access to 4 LIVE Zoom Training Sessions. The bulk of the course material is made up of pre-recorded videos that will show you the detailed painting process in action through step by step application steps. You will be able to follow along, while I show you through demonstration how to develop your painting every step of the way. The wonderful part of this is that you can stop, rewind and fast forward at your own pace!
How do I get help?
- There are comments section within each section of the course, that easily allow you to ask any questions you might have. You have access to me also by email when you join the course and I am available to help you whether it be two days, two months or two years after you purchase the course! What mediums does this course work for?
- I use oil paints to show all of my demonstrations - however if you paint with Acrylics, you will still be able to take this course and fully learn and follow along!
So... this course will work for me if I paint with Acrylics...?
- Yes! Multiple students who have taken this course, have used acrylics very successfully.
What else should I have for this course?
- You will need some basic painting and drawing supplies, such as charcoal, paper, a few oil paints, palette, linseed oil among other items. A comprehensive supplies list is included inside the class.
Is this class appropriate for a complete beginner?
- If you have never touched paints before this is probably not the right class to start painting with. However, if you consider yourself a beginner and have taken a class, or are self taught or just dabbled a little bit - this is perfect for you. It is also perfect for those who maybe painted years ago and are now returning to painting

- The beauty of this class is that it is built for you to be able to go at your own pace. You have lifetime access to the material.
