Hi! For those of you who do not know me I have a blog at ArtStudioLife.com where I teach others how to paint and draw.
I am a professional artist based in Seattle, WA. I received my BFA in painting at the University of Washington and continued my studies at the Jerusalem Studio School in Israel.
I am passionate about passing on everything I have learned over the years and believe in teaching the core fundamentals of painting so that others are able to paint anything they want.

Elisabeth is a generous teacher, and her color mixing guide is no exception. I have long admired her ability to see and translate color. In this guide, Elisabeth breaks down, in concrete and understandable terms, basic color theory and ways to successfully mix color. One of the most useful parts of the guide is a “cheat sheet" for mixing a range of color variations for many of the different hues-the primary colors, secondary colors, brown, black and grey! This is so useful for new students to painting and for those looking to enhance their color knowledge. My favorite part of the guide is where Elisabeth points out specific mixes and color ideas in her own paintings. While a guidebook can’t give you Elisabeth’s magic, you can definitely gain a a solid grasp of how she thinks about color; more importantly, you can gain the ability to understand how you can mix and use color successfully in your own paintings.
